Left to my own devices I won't do too much. Inherently lazy some might say, I wholeheartedly see it as energy conservation. To ninja kick my way out of trouble should it come at me.

Latest projects of amusement have been the art of cocktail creation, and the occasional tincture of randomness. Largely to blame was my genius idea to hold a Pre-prohibition cocktail party (Flappers and Philosophers) in order to increase my liquor stock. It also ended up as a justifiable excuse to upgrade my mixology toolset. One of the key additions I made was the seminal cocktail book by Harry Craddock, The Savoy Cocktail Book. Leading to my inspiration by Savoy Stomp to try and create as a many of these as possible, so far I've made about 30 or so different varieties.

The process of creation has definitely led me to an overall insight into the cocktail development process, like cooking you are after a balance of flavours.

Sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and ye old umami.

Leaving me with a vague confidence to try and make up a cocktail of my own, and without further mutterings I give to thee.

1.5 oz Gin - Bombay (red cap)
0.5 oz Suze
0.5 oz Triple Sec - Cointreau
1 oz Italian (sweet) Vermouth - Dolin Rouge

Shake, strain, and serve straight up into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

Thursday dranks

Peste Bubbonica (Black Death)

2oz cold brew coffee
2oz aged rum
0.5oz Fernet Branca
0.25oz agave syrup / simple syrup

stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled tumbler.

While not a life long ambition, just one day I want to lead a dance movement in a club.

It matters not the type of music blasting from the speakers, just want to be that leader of the pack, grow that one man wolf pack.
